About the Doctor

I am a physician and surgeon, a graduate of the School of Medicine of UNAM; I continued my graduate studies in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country, the Hospital Infantil de México Federico Gómez. I hold certification from the Consejo Mexicano de Pediatría and the Consejo Mexicano de Endocrinología for both specialties, respectively. I am currently an active member of the Sociedad Mexicana de Endocrinología Pediátrica and the Sociedad Médica del Hospital Ángeles Metropolitano. My commitment as a physician has led me to build a career in research alongside my clinical practice. Being a collaborator at the Childhood Obesity Clinic of the Hospital General de México — since my Master's in Medical Sciences, and now my doctorate — allows me to stay up to date on one of the most relevant health issues in our country: childhood obesity and its complications. I believe that the importance of endocrinological diseases should not be overlooked, since in addition to affecting children's growth and development, some of these conditions can even affect our little ones' emotional and intellectual performance. That's why the clinical evaluation I perform spares no avenue to reach a diagnosis. In my clinical practice I like to maintain a profile of responsibility and professionalism. Honesty — I believe — is the core of the relationship with my patients and their parents. Experience has taught me that information is a very important pillar as part of comprehensive treatment, so at every consultation I feel ethically obligated to be frank when discussing a diagnosis and to avoid unnecessary expenses for my patients.
