Hello, I'm Valeria Hidalgo, a Nutritionist graduate of Universidad Marista de Merida. My practice is focused on habit change, since for several years of my life I went to different nutritionists to control my weight, I was always on restrictive diets and my relationship with food went from bad to worse. The truth is that diets are not sustainable long-term, and my goal is for you to maintain healthy habits long-term and improve your relationship with food, through various materials we'll use in consultations. I can also help you improve your body composition in a healthy, comprehensive way. It's worth noting that I don't focus only on weight; I take other factors into account, so the patient is not required to weigh in. If you'd like to take your measurements, I'll explain in the consultation how to do it (if it's online), or otherwise I'll take your measurements in the office with InBody. My methodology adapts to each patient. So I invite you to message me on WhatsApp before scheduling an appointment so I can explain how we would work and you'll be informed about the process. 5 years ago I began giving private consultations in person and online to patients from different parts of the country. I have 3 years of experience in the hospital setting, since I did my practicum and social service at Hospital General Agustin O'Horan and at the IMSS in the city of Merida, rotating through intensive care, internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, surgery, emergency, orthopedics, and oncology. During my year of social service I completed a Diploma in Clinical Nutrition from Universidad Modelo de Merida and the Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad de la Peninsula de Yucatan, and in 2020 I supported a research project on urinary lithiasis called "Proyecto Tuunich" together with urologists from the Hospital de Alta Especialidad. Since 2022 I am a Diabetes Educator certified by the Asociacion Mexicana de Diabetes, and in 2023 I completed a certification in Sports Nutrition and Supplementation from the Centro de Nutricion Deportiva de Monterrey.
