El Doctor is an independent medical directory. This page explains where our information comes from, how we produce the content you read, and how we keep it accurate.

What you'll find on El Doctor
Our platform brings together information on doctors, clinics, and hospitals in Mexico —contact details, locations, specialties, accepted insurance, and typical prices— along with patient reviews and informational content about medical conditions, symptoms, and specialties.
Where our data comes from
Directory information is compiled, verified, and structured from public and official sources, such as Mexico's National Statistical Directory of Economic Units (DENUE, INEGI) and the health-sector registry of healthcare facilities (CLUES), as well as public medical directories. We clean, deduplicate, and update this information so it is easier to search and compare.
How we produce informational content
Content about medical conditions, symptoms, prices, and our guides is produced and reviewed by the El Doctor team, based on recognized medical references. It is general and informational in nature: it does not replace a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
Patient reviews
Reviews come from patients and from public sources, and go through a moderation process. Each review reflects the individual experience of its author, is the author's responsibility, and does not constitute a medical recommendation by El Doctor.
Updates and corrections
We update our information periodically. If you find an incorrect or outdated detail about a doctor or clinic, you can report it through our contact page and we will correct it as soon as possible.
Independence and advertising
El Doctor is editorially independent. The site may display third-party advertising (for example, Google AdSense). Ads are clearly identifiable and are independent of our editorial content and of the doctor profiles: a listing or ranking position is never sold as advertising.
