About the Doctor

Care for patients of any age and any condition, mainly: -Myopia control -Dry eye syndrome -Keratoconus -Corneal transplants -Corneal scars -Vision problems following surgeries, among others. Actively participates in research on treatments to prevent the increase of myopia in infants and vision problems caused by the exponential use of digital devices, while always staying up to date on special contact lenses for keratoconus such as scleral and hybrid lenses. Graduate of the bachelor's degree in optometry from the Instituto Politecnico Nacional, being an outstanding student of the Programa Institucional de Formacion de Investigadores (PIFI), working on research with diabetic patients and color perception problems. Afterward, he continued his training with an advanced specialization in contact lenses endorsed by the Australian College of Optometry and the Instituto de Oftalmologia Hospital Conde de Valenciana, during which time he also served as head of the contact lens department for the evening shift at the latter, and has since continued presenting research work at national and international conferences. He is currently studying a Master's in Clinical Research at the Escuela Superior de Medicina of IPN with a project seeking more effective ways to prevent myopia and its complications. He is a member of the Sociedad Educativa de Lentes de Contacto Esclerales and in his free time he enjoys traveling, playing video games, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
