I specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide variety of eye diseases, ranging from vision errors that need correction with glasses due to nearsightedness and astigmatism to management of diabetic retinopathy and cataracts. Your visit with me starts with a brief conversation to determine your reason for consultation and your needs, followed by a review of your visual acuity and visual capacity, and then a complete examination of both eyes. If you need glasses, and if the patient wishes, we can measure the prescription and even have your glasses made. Among the various eye diseases I typically manage, though I don't mention all of them, are: nearsightedness, astigmatism, farsightedness, glaucoma, cataracts, eye trauma, strabismus, intraocular arterial or venous occlusions, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus, dry eye, uveitis, etc. Among the surgical procedures I most frequently perform are LASIK, PRK (both laser surgeries to stop using glasses), cataract surgery with intraocular lens implant, removal of "pterygium," laser application for glaucoma and diabetes, etc.
