With more than 10 years of experience, Dr. Alfonso Vega is a certified Neurosurgeon, expert in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and his office is located at Hospital Angeles Acoxpa, in Mexico City. He is a Medical Surgeon graduate of the Escuela Medico Naval and holds the Specialty in Neurosurgery endorsed by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) and postgraduate studies in spinal pathology and reconstruction and spine surgery, respectively endorsed by the Universidad de Barcelona. He currently holds the position of Head of the Neurosurgery Service of the Hospital General Naval de Alta Especialidad and is a staff member of Hospital Medica Sur and Grupo Angeles. He has been a Professor at seminars, workshops, and educational institutions at the national and international level. He has articles published with the National Institutes of Health and has made important scientific publications, which have been presented at various congresses, courses, and conferences, in which he has participated and holds recognition for. Likewise, Dr. Vega Sosa has received important recognitions from the Secretaria de Marina Armada de Mexico and is a Member of various scientific societies such as: the Sociedad Interamericana Para la Cirugia de la Columna Minimamente Invasiva, the Sociedad Mexicana de Cirugia Neurologica, Asociacion Mexicana de Cirujanos de Columna, North American Spine Society, Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery among others
