About the Doctor

My name is Amyra; I am a Pediatrician, Allergist and Clinical Immunologist, and Master in Medical Sciences. I completed my medical degree at Universidad Veracruzana (UV), Veracruz campus, did my clinical internship at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición "Salvador Zubirán", and my social service in Gastrointestinal Disease Research at the Gastric Motility Laboratory of the Instituto de Investigaciones Médico Biológicas of UV. I later moved to Mexico City to complete my specialties in Pediatrics and Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), based at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría (INP); and later, a Master's in Medical Sciences with a focus on Food Allergies at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición "Salvador Zubirán". I currently work in Mexico City at Hospital Infantil Privado and at a private practice in Roma Norte, as well as in Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, and the Port of Veracruz, both in patient care and research. As an Allergist and Immunologist physician, I am prepared to care for and manage allergic diseases such as Asthma, Food Allergies, Urticaria, Atopic Dermatitis, and Rhinitis, among others. As well as other diseases of the Immune System such as Immunodeficiencies and Autoimmunity (Lupus, Arthritis, Vasculitis, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's, to name a few). This combined with my training in general Pediatrics makes my Clinic a very comprehensive care center for managing the most common diseases in the population.
