About the Doctor

I am a physician graduated from Universidad Panamericana and a psychiatrist graduated from Centro Medico Nacional "20 de Noviembre", ISSSTE, where I graduated with honors and held the position of chief resident. I also completed an advanced specialty in liaison psychiatry at the same institution. I have complemented my training with diplomas and courses in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eating Disorders and Obesity, CBT for eating disorders, focus on adult ADHD, Transference-Focused Therapy, Advanced Comprehensive Psychotherapy, and Mindful Eating. In my clinical practice I have specialized in all types of psychiatric conditions, but I typically treat patients who are part of the LGBT+ community more frequently, adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder/autism/neurodivergent spectrum, eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, bariatric protocols), people in situations of intimate partner violence, patients with medical comorbidities, and the pediatric population. My priority will always be to provide quality, evidence-based care, without losing sight of humane, warm treatment. The approach will always be directed toward the interests and needs of the client, and therefore, pharmacological management is not essential if the person does not want it. In my consultations I try to provide trust and I open the communication channel inside and outside the consultation. It is very likely that consultations will tend to extend longer than usual if time permits, but everything is with the goal of clarifying doubts and obtaining relevant information. It will be a pleasure to be able to work together to support you in achieving your goals. *Rest assured that if it is not my area or if you require management with psychotherapy only, I will offer you alternatives and refer you to someone who can better support you.
