About the Doctor

My name is Angel, but I am better known by my second last name: "Dr. Jacome." I got my principles and foundations studying medicine in Mexicali, at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California. I studied the specialty in Pediatrics for 3 years, in the city of Culiacan at the Hospital Pediatrico de Sinaloa (HPS), where I was reshaped as a physician and as a person, further fueling my passion for caring for boys and girls. But where I saw my skills and abilities most developed was doing the subspecialty in Pediatric Pulmonology (Pediatric Pulmonology for 2 years), at the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Respiratorias (INER), home to many nationally and internationally recognized Pulmonologists. And, to finish, I felt I still needed to make one last effort for my patients, and also to feel fully accomplished, both personally and professionally; and with a lot of effort and perseverance I studied the advanced specialty in Pediatric Bronchoscopy for a year, at the Hospital del Nino y el Adolescente Morelense. Both Pediatric Pulmonology and Pediatric Bronchoscopy are endorsed by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, UNAM, the leading institution of higher learning in Latin America. Since 2017 I have been back in Mexicali, the city where I trained. And I currently work as a Pediatrician and Pulmonologist/Bronchoscopist in the public sector (at the Hospital General de Mexicali), and in the private sector (in Mexicali, San Luis Rio Colorado, and Ensenada).
