About the Doctor

I am Belén Martínez Mendoza, I am a Registered Nurse by profession, one of the few specialists in Toluca with a Master's in Wound, Ostomy, and Burn Therapy, specialized in caring for patients with hard-to-heal wounds, ostomies, and burns. Most of my patients are adults, however I can treat children of any age. I trained at Universidad Panamericana, the university that trains Master's-level professionals and specialists in Wound, Ostomy, and Burn Therapy. Therefore I have experience caring for patients with wounds, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers or bedsores, infected surgical wounds, diabetic foot, management and care of patients with ostomies and their complications, burn patients both in and out of hospital, management of incontinence without surgery, treatment and prevention of lymphedema and lipedema. I would also add that I am a lead professor of the Master's in Advanced Clinical Management of Wounds, Ostomies, and Burns at Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, in the Ostomies module My goal is to provide comprehensive, personalized care to each patient, always with warm, professional treatment. I like to explain the treatment process clearly and in detail so patients feel safe and confident. I am proud to be able to help people improve their quality of life and regain their health.
