Hello! I am Carlos Alberto Hernandez Quezada, a Licensed Optometrist, certified with professional license (cedula profesional) 5228046 from the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Iztacala, UNAM, since 2005. I specialize in visual rehabilitation for a variety of conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, keratoconus, presbyopia, aphakia, strabismus, amblyopia, nystagmus, diplopia, accommodative problems, phorias, among others. With extensive experience in lens fitting, I offer personalized solutions for every patient, at any age, from infants to older adults. My services include prescription of single-vision and progressive lenses, with and without prisms, as well as contact lenses of all types of materials and designs. In addition, I fit specialized aids such as lenses with magnifiers, telescopes, and non-optical aids for special cases of Low Vision, ensuring a comprehensive and meticulous approach in every consultation. I also perform Vision Therapy for patients who present visual difficulties that cannot be corrected with lenses or surgery alone. It is a type of physical treatment for the eyes and brain, particularly effective in cases involving inefficient eye coordination or perceptual problems. Committed to education, I have contributed to the development of future professionals as a professor in the Optometry undergraduate program at UAQ. Currently, I am a professor in the same program at UNAM, at the Clinica de Salud Integral of the ENES Leon, San Miguel de Allende extension. To enrich my professional profile, I have completed various specializations, among which the Master's Degree in Learning and Cognitive Development at the Universidad de La Rioja in Spain stands out.
