About the Doctor

Originally from Mexicali Baja California; I am an Internal Medicine Physician and Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist trained at UABC and a graduate of UNAM. As such, I specialize in the diagnostic approach and comprehensive treatment of the main non-surgical conditions affecting the adult population, including Diabetes Mellitus, arterial hypertension, thyroid diseases, COPD, lipid disorders (cholesterol and triglycerides), infectious diseases, as well as the main diseases affecting other organs such as kidneys, lungs, liver, and joints. I completed a second postgraduate degree in the subspecialty of clinical cardiology, acquiring the skills necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of the main conditions affecting the heart, such as: heart failure, arrhythmias, angina, myocardial infarction, heart valve diseases, among others. I later completed the postgraduate degree in the advanced medical specialty of interventional cardiology, so I am trained to perform minimally invasive procedures that your heart may require. I currently have the opportunity to contribute to the health of Baja Californians at the Hospital General de Mexicali, the only public center at the state level with the human and technological capacity to address the acute cardiac problems of our population; likewise, I have recently joined as teaching staff at the School of Medicine of my Universidad Autónoma de Baja California
