I am a Gastroenterologist with an Advanced Specialty in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, graduated from Centro Medico Nacional Siglo XXI. I have extensive experience in common diseases (gastric problems, digestive bleeding, Helicobacter Pylori infection, reflux, colon problems such as irritable colon, polyps, diverticula, cancer; diarrhea, fatty liver, hepatitis A; among others) and less common problems of the digestive system (early lesions in the digestive tract, Barrett's Esophagus, cirrhosis and its various causes and complications, hepatitis B and C and other viruses, autoimmune hepatitis, ulcerative colitis, pancreatitis... among many others). I completed an academic stay in France on liver diseases ("De la Croix-Rousse" Hospital, Lyon) and another in Belgium on endoscopy ("Erasme" Hospital, Brussels), which has allowed me to broaden my judgment and vision, and to become familiar with upcoming advances in our country in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the digestive tract, liver, and pancreas. My goals when treating a patient who needs my help are: 1) To define a precise diagnosis, with the necessary elements. 2) To thoroughly explain and clear up all doubts about their state of health (or disease, if applicable), thus creating a realistic outlook and expectations for the patient, 3) To establish the most appropriate treatment according to scientific evidence, and 4) To support my patients within an ethical framework; to listen and advise.
