About the Doctor

I am a graduate of the Facultad de Medicina of Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila as a Physician and Surgeon. My training as a specialist in Rheumatology was at Centro Medico Nacional "La Raza", IMSS. I am Certified by the Consejo Mexicano de Reumatologia and by the Consejo Mexicano de Reumatologia in Pediatric Rheumatology. As part of my professional training I completed a stay at the Department of Pediatric Rheumatology of Universidad de Pavia, Italy; with the opportunity to collaborate with the Pediatric Rheumatology International Trials Organisation (PRINTO). Throughout my professional development I have collaborated as an Internist and Rheumatologist at important public sector institutions. I was head of service of the Rheumatology Unit at Hospital General de Mexico. I have participated in more than thirty publications in specialized journals and books, in teaching as an associate professor of the advanced specialty course in Pediatric Rehabilitation at the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitacion, where I currently work as an attending physician. Today I am an active member of societies such as the Colegio Mexicano de Reumatologia A.C, the European Society of Pediatric Rheumatology, the Editorial Committee of the Revista Reumatologia Clinica, to name a few, and associate professor in the Adult Rheumatology Specialty course at the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitacion.
