About the Doctor

Dr. Claudia Altamirano Barragan is a pediatrician and clinical nutritionist. She trained at the Facultad de Medicina of Universidad La Salle in Mexico City, completed her introduction to clinical practice at Hospital Angeles del Pedregal, later did her undergraduate medical internship at Hospital Santiago Ramon y Cajal (ISSSTE) in the state of Durango, continuing her training as a specialist at the oldest and most traditional hospital, Hospital General de Mexico "Dr. Eduardo Liceaga." She also completed the subspecialty of clinical nutrition at Hospital Angeles del Pedregal in order to provide comprehensive care to her patients. She has worked at several hospitals in CDMX, gaining knowledge and experience at all of them. Since 2016 she has been part of the specialist medical staff of the Hospital General Naval de Alta Especialidad, in the Pediatric Hospitalization area. As well as adjunct tutor, where she shares the responsibility of contributing to the training of its Resident physicians and future specialists. She maintains an active clinical practice where she sees patients with different pathologies or diseases, from well-child visits to those with a chronic or acute illness who require nutritional support as part of comprehensive treatment for patients with multiple conditions such as: kidney disease, heart disease, malnourishment, oncology patients, post-surgical patients, patients with severe infections, patients with absorption disorders, or inborn errors of metabolism. She maintains a spirit of constant study and continuing education, continuing to attend conferences, courses, and congresses related to Medicine, Pediatrics, Nutrition, and the use of new technologies. All of the above with the aim of offering greater quality and warmth to her patients with the intention of restoring health, always under ethical and humane guidelines to achieve it.
