About the Doctor

I am Cristy Mariely Ortiz Calderon, cardiologist, graduate of Hospital "1o de Octubre" (Mexico City, endorsed by UNAM). Afterward I completed a high specialty: Cardiac Rehabilitation, at the "Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia Ignacio Chavez" (Mexico City, UNAM). My main interest is cardiovascular prevention, so I have also completed diploma programs to offer smoking cessation treatment, as well as proper assessment and prescription of physical exercise, both therapeutic and for high-performance athletics, and for the rehabilitation of patients following COVID-19 events, heart attack, arrhythmias, pacemakers, etc., with the goal of improving people's quality of life, their physical and cardiovascular capacity, their eating habits, and mental health afterward, together with a fully trained multidisciplinary team. I am currently pursuing a Master's in "Health Sciences" at the Instituto Politecnico Nacional.
