About the Doctor

I am a highly experienced gynecologist and Reproductive Biologist, specialized in Reproductive problems and infertility, as well as Assisted Reproduction treatments. After obtaining my medical degree at Universidad La Salle, I completed a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as a subspecialty in Human Reproductive Biology, both with honorable mention, at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). I continued my studies with a master's degree in e-Health: information technology and Health Management from Universidad Ramón Llull in Barcelona, and I am currently completing a Doctoral program in Health Sciences at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid. As a reproductive medicine specialist, I have worked at the Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad in Madrid and Alicante, Spain, as well as at the Clínica de Reproducción Minifiv in Madrid. Dr. Edgar Cruz is a founding member of the Asociación Mexicana de Jóvenes Obstetras y Ginecólogos (AMEJOG), a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the Sociedad Española de Fertilidad (SEF). As a researcher, I have published articles in high-impact indexed journals worldwide, presented conferences nationally and internationally, participated in national and international book chapters, and also have extensive academic experience as a titular and guest professor in specialized postgraduate programs and as an academic mentor for physicians in training.
