What does a nephrologist physician do? We are the physicians responsible for providing you comprehensive care in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases and those that affect the proper functioning of your kidneys, the most common examples are the following: -Kidney transplant -Glomerular diseases -Chronic and acute kidney disease -Kidney stones -Hereditary diseases -Urinary tract infections -Dialysis -Hemodialysis -Arterial hypertension -Diabetes mellitus -Interventional nephrology service (placement of peritoneal dialysis catheters, hemodialysis, kidney biopsies) -Kidney donor monitoring -Among others I have training as a general physician at UAN, then I began my training as an internal medicine physician at UAS and finally completed my studies as an adult nephrologist at UDG, I currently have 2 years of experience in the private work field and in public services, with extensive experience in kidney transplant and performing interventional nephrology procedures (ultrasound assessment, placement of both temporary and permanent hemodialysis catheters, percutaneous placement of peritoneal dialysis catheter, performing kidney biopsy of grafts and native kidneys).
