He completed the Physician and Surgeon program at the Universidad Miguel Aleman Valdez, part of the Universidad Veracruzana. During that same period he was a volunteer physician at the Mexican Red Cross, where he served as duty chief. The Specialty in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Instituto Nacional de Perinatología, endorsed by UNAM; as part of his duties as a resident he served as chief resident. The Subspecialty in Reproductive Biology at the Hospital Angeles del Pedregal in the AGN y asociados group, endorsed by Universidad La Salle He has worked as staff Gynecology physician at the Hospital de Gineco-Pediatría of the IMSS Clínica 61 in Veracruz, Ver., and at the Hospital General de Pemex in the Port of Veracruz, both from 2000 to 2006.
