Esalud Occupational Medicine was born 20 years ago in Tampico Tam, as a company providing Occupational Medicine services as a Certified Company, and has continued improving year after year, today led by a Specialist, Master's in Occupational Risk Management, Forensic Physician, in Criminology, and with studies in Barcelona, Spain, in Laughter Therapy. These last studies made me realize that pain is not only physical, and that in 80% of cases the pain of the soul, the lack of affection, the need for love, is stronger and more important in determining whether a disease progresses or stops. Studying Laughter Therapy taught me that in order to be able to laugh I first had to cry, and only by crying was I able to understand so many, many problems that sometimes as physicians we are very objective, cold, distant, and don't go further and see patients, workers, and not human beings with a disease and many problems that turn into stress, which in turn generates more pain and more suffering for them. Esalud had the honor of being among the founders of the Hospital Angeles Tampico; however, I wanted to go further, not just with companies but with the population, so since July of 2020, after 10 years at Angeles, we opened a branch in Altamira, the Esalud Specialty Clinic. There we work with the best quality but also with the privilege of serving society.
