About the Doctor

Hi! I am Dr. Michelle Gómez, a Urological Surgeon and Uro-Oncologist. I completed my training as a Physician and Surgeon at the Universidad de Guadalajara, graduating with Academic Excellence, and later completed my social service at the Hospital Civil de Guadalajara, in the "Care for the Urology Patient" program in 2016. I completed my Urology Specialty at Centro Médico Nacional de Occidente (IMSS), one of the country's most important hospitals, with a high volume of patients with multiple, complex conditions, which allowed me to gain extensive theoretical and surgical knowledge in both open surgery and endourology and laparoscopy, and where I received recognition for contributing to the UMAE's body of knowledge through a scientific publication. The specialty is endorsed by the Universidad de Guadalajara. I completed an Advanced Specialty in Oncologic Urology at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología, where I had the opportunity to manage urologic cancer patients at every stage, refining surgical skills in both open and minimally invasive surgery, with university endorsement from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). I am currently certified by the Consejo Nacional Mexicano de Urología (CONAMEU). Interested in academics and continuous updating of medical knowledge, I am author and co-author of several publications in scientific journals, including the bulletin of the Colegio Mexicano de Urología and the American Urological Association NEWS. I am an active member of national and international medical societies such as the Colegio Mexicano de Urología Nacional A.C (CMUN), the Confederación Americana de Urología (CAU), and the Société Internationale d'Urologie (SIU).
