I am a general surgeon, with an advanced specialty in bariatric surgery and clinical nutrition, trained at the most excellent institutions in our country. I mainly treat gastrointestinal conditions, such as appendicitis, cholecystitis (gallstones), reflux, hiatal hernia, as well as hernias, lipomas, etc. Regarding bariatric surgery, I treat morbid obesity and associated metabolic diseases. I am an expert in advanced laparoscopic surgery. I am constantly in training, since I always like to be able to offer the best quality care. I was an academic at UAM, and I have taught surgery courses and classes at different academic levels. Since I was little I knew I wanted to study medicine. I always knew my calling was to care for people. I love being a surgeon, it's what nourishes my day to day, it's my great passion. Surgical challenges are a motivation for me. Being able to provide the best care to patients is, for me, a way of life. "Your purpose will point you in the right direction, but passion will be what drives you."
