We specialize in the technique of Scarless Surgery or Single Umbilical Incision Laparoscopic Surgery; unlike traditional laparoscopy (which is performed through 3 or 4 incisions on average depending on the case), it allows us to perform the most common surgical procedures in general surgery and gynecology through a single incision in the umbilical scar that rarely exceeds 1.5 cm in length. This reduces invasiveness and tissue damage in the abdominal wall and therefore decreases postoperative pain, with an early return of the patient to their usual activities. Since the surgical intervention is performed solely through the navel, the resulting scar remains entirely hidden within the umbilical scar, becoming completely invisible since scar over scar becomes imperceptible. Currently, the Scarless Surgery technique has stood the test of time (almost 20 years), being practiced by surgeons from different parts of the world, forming an international team of more than 10,000 patients operated on with excellent results, expanding over time its clinical scope to the most common abdominal procedures in general surgery and gynecology in our field, both elective or scheduled, as well as emergency procedures.
