About the Doctor

My medical practice is directed at children and adolescents who may need an evaluation of one of the components of their blood, or who require highly specialized treatment supported by excellent academic training, experience, and up-to-date scientific literature, or who already have a diagnosis of some hematological disease. My medical practice is always conducted with impeccable conduct, professing to act transparently and providing great human sensitivity. I consider myself a person capable of maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships, which facilitates teamwork, as I am convinced this is the best strategy for practicing modern medicine. I trained in the Medical Surgeon degree starting in 1994, at the Facultad Mexicana de Medicina of the Universidad La Salle, in what was then the Distrito Federal, and later completed my postgraduate studies in Pediatrics in 2000, at the Hospital para el Niño Poblano (HNP) in the city of Puebla. Once I completed the specialty, I joined the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría (INP) in 2004, where I completed the subspecialty in Pediatric Hematology; upon finishing this, back at HNP, I worked as an attending physician in the Hemato-Oncology area. In 2011, I completed the Postgraduate High Specialty course in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation at INP, returning a year later to HNP as head of the Hemato-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant area of that hospital. Today I work as an attending physician in the bone marrow transplant unit at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría, as well as practicing private medicine at Hospital Star Médica Hospital Infantil Privado.
