About the Doctor

Hi!! I am Getsemani Fierros, a podiatrist graduated from the Escuela Podóloga de México more than 17 years ago. I have cared for thousands of patients at the DIF of San Juan Tlilhuaca in Azcapotzalco, as well as at the Hospital Pediátrico de Aragón in the podiatry, orthopedics, and geriatrics area, along with many more in the private sector. I consider myself a passionate professional in caring for my patients with many conditions. Throughout my career as a healthcare professional, I've noticed that one of the main reasons people don't wear the shoes they like is because of onychomycosis (nail fungus), cracked heels, ingrown toenails, athlete's foot — the main conditions that cause discomfort and embarrassment about showing their feet. This problem leads them to not want to show their feet in public, even to choose not to go on a beach vacation, and worse still, to dread more intimate encounters with their partner out of embarrassment about their feet being seen. This is how I have focused on helping many patients with this issue, not only clinically but also cosmetically. As I did with Barbara, who for years hid her feet inside beach sandals. Now she can show them off without a problem, no longer worrying when taking her shoes off. Or Mr. Juan, who can now take his yoga classes without socks and with total peace of mind. Or Raquel, who longed to take up swimming classes again like when she was a child, without the embarrassment of people seeing her feet. Not forgetting Karina, whom I was able to help a few weeks before her wedding on the beaches of Cancun and honeymoon so her feet would look super pretty without fungus. I am happy to be able to help patients like them regain their self-esteem and confidence, and to be able to live fully! I am proud that my patients are satisfied with my work, and I always strive to exceed their expectations.
