Dr. Gretel Abed Hekimian holds a Licentiate in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Intercontinental. She resided in Madrid, Spain, where she completed her Doctoral studies at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and began her training as a Lacanian-Oriented Psychoanalyst at the Escuela Lacaniana de Psicoanalisis de Madrid. She is the author of the book "La Etica del Deseo" (Editorial Divan Negro, 2020), a work that explores how human desire, far from the immediate gratification promoted by today's society, opens the door to a profound ethics committed to our most intimate essence, guided by the psychoanalytic thought of Freud, Bataille, and Lacan. She currently sees her patients from her practice in Coyoacan, Mexico City, and is an expert in topics such as anxiety, phobias, addictions, relationship problems, eating disorders, and depression, among others.
