About the Doctor

I am Monserrat Cázares, originally from Gómez Palacio, Durango, from the area known as La Comarca Lagunera, home of Santos (soccer team), where wine, grapes, and cotton are produced, and the people are as warm as our climate. I studied the Medical Surgeon degree at the Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango from 1997 - 2004. Afterward, and that's how I came to Mexico City, I studied the Specialty in Pediatrics from 2005 to 2008 and the Subspecialty in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition from 2008 to 2010, at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría, with recognition from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Starting in 2010, after graduating from the Subspecialty, I joined as an Attending Physician in the Gastroenterology and Nutrition Department at the same Instituto Nacional de Pediatría; I founded the digestive endoscopy service, where I served as Head until 2017. In 2011 I did a rotation in the Endoscopy Department of Hospital Central Militar. From 2011 to 2013 I completed a Master's in Medical Sciences at UNAM. And in 2014-2015 I did a rotation in the Digestive Endoscopy Department of the Hospital del Niño Jesús in Rome, Italy. I currently dedicate myself exclusively to my private practice. I thoroughly enjoy my profession, being a Pediatrician and dealing with children; a child is definitely not a "small adult" — it takes experience to recognize their symptoms at the different stages of their lives, as well as the way they express themselves. It will be my pleasure to help you maintain and care for your children's health
