About the Doctor
I am an Oncologic Surgeon, a graduate of the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología, and I am dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of thoracic tumors. Once I finished my training at INCan I was invited to join its medical staff in the Thoracic Surgery Department, for which I completed additional training abroad at the Thoracic Oncology Department of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center (Tampa, Florida) and at the Thoracic and Cardio-vascular Surgery Department of the MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, Texas). Given the volume of patients I treat, I am able to be a surgeon dedicated solely to thoracic cancer, which has allowed me to position myself as an opinion leader in Thoracic Oncology in Mexico. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a University Professor of Oncologic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery, and the Advanced Specialty Course in Thoracic Oncology Medicine at INCan. I firmly believe in the importance of research in oncology; I am author and co-author of book chapters and scientific articles in my specialty. My scientific output has led to my appointment as a National Level I Researcher within the CONACYT National System of Researchers since 2016.
