Graduated as a medical surgeon from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. Afterward, I completed my specialty in Internal Medicine (4 years) and subspecialty in Rheumatology (2 years) at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán. During the last year of the subspecialty, I was chief resident. In addition, during my training years, I developed research work on lupus which has been published in high-impact journals, and presented at both national and international congresses. Currently, I am a staff physician in Internal Medicine at the Hospital General Centro Médico La Raza, and I am coordinator of the first-year residents of that specialty. I also provide private consultations in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, as well as hospitalization for both specialties.
