About the Doctor
Hello! My name is Liliana Ortiz, I am a Clinical Nutritionist with a specialty in different areas of nutrition. Let me tell you a bit about my academic background and work experience. In 2007 I studied the degree program at the School of Dietetics and Nutrition of ISSSTE, completing a year of social service at the Indianilla Specialty Clinic. After finishing my degree I started this project called Metztli Nutrición para la Vida, opening it on June 13, 2012. In 2013 I entered the Universidad del Valle de México to study a graduate program in Clinical Nutrition, from which I graduated in 2016. Simultaneously, in 2014 I began an advanced specialty in Enteral and Parenteral Nutritional Support at the Hospital Regional Lic. López Mateos. In 2015 I joined the Ambulatory Surgery Center as a staff member of the Nutrition service, where I continue to work to this day. Throughout this time I have kept up to date in order to offer my patients cutting-edge treatments suited to their real needs, so I have completed diploma programs in: Perinatal and Pediatric Nutrition at COA Nutrición / Universidad de La Salle, Breastfeeding counseling at the Spanish Society PROLACTAR, Oncology Nutrition at COA Nutrición / Universidad de La Salle, Bariatric Nutrition at the Universidad de Chiapas, Nutrition in Nephrology at the Universidad Autónoma de México, Diabetes Educator at the Asociación Mexicana de Diabetes and Universidad Anahuac, Nutrition in physical activity and sports through the School of Dietetics and Nutrition of ISSSTE, Personal trainer specialized in strength training at SPORT CITY / Universidad La Salle, Hospital Administration at the Universidad Autónoma de México. As well as many continuing education courses on metabolic and gastrointestinal disorders. So I can treat patients of different ages and with different conditions. Treatments are personalized.
