About the Doctor

I am a Clinical Nutritionist (UdeG) and Doctor of Biomedical Sciences (UNAM) with a focus on Neuroscience. I completed a one-year Advanced Specialty Diploma in Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition at Hospital Regional López Mateos of ISSSTE. My clinical practice focuses on supporting the medical therapy of patients with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, cerebral infarction, or epilepsy, using scientifically backed nutritional strategies. I hold a National Certification in Ketogenic Diet Treatment that supports my clinical practice, awarded by the Colegio Mexicano de Nutrición Clínica y Terapia Nutricional. I am certified in Clinical Nutrition by the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, focused on enteral (tube feeding) and parenteral (intravenous nutrition) support, to prevent or combat malnutrition and improve the prognosis of hospitalized and intensive care patients. I hold a National Certification in Mindful Eating. I provide weight-inclusive consultations for patients who want to improve their diet and quality of life, who live with diabetes or other metabolic imbalances. I am constantly up to date and recently completed training in Functional Neuroanatomy awarded by the Instituto de Neurociencias de Puebla (March 2024), as well as an Enteral Nutrition Training Certification awarded by Abbott (February 2024). I am a member of the International Neurological Ketogenic Society (INKS), the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and the Colegio Mexicano de Nutrición Clínica y Terapia Nutricional. I teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, and I have scientific and outreach publications about the neuroprotective mechanisms of certain nutritional approaches.
