He later began his training in neurosurgery, completing one year of general surgery at Centro Medico ABC, Mexico, and 5 years at the Instituto Nacional de Neurologia y Neurocirugia, Mexico, and completed his training visiting the vascular neurosurgery department of Helsinki Hospital, Finland. He completed his advanced specialization in "Endoneurosurgery and Skull Base Surgery" at the Instituto Nacional de Neurologia y Neurocirugia, Mexico; as well as the advanced specialization in "Minimally Invasive Brain Endoscopy" at the Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center, NY, United States. Dr. Ortega-Porcayo has a great commitment to research in neuroscience and received the national Surgery award "Francisco Montes de Oca" awarded by the Academia Nacional de Cirugia for the best surgical research of 2014. He completed his Master's Degree in Bioethics in 2023 at Universidad Anahuac. He currently works at Hospital Angeles del Pedregal and Centro Medico ABC. The medical consultation will be approximately 90 minutes long, during which you will have all the time to present your symptoms, doubts, and observations. A detailed neurological examination is performed to obtain a precise clinical diagnosis.
