About me I am a Clinical Cardiologist, with an Advanced Specialty in Hemodynamics & Interventional Cardiology. My academic training stands out from my undergraduate degree onward; I trained at the Facultad de Medicina of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. I completed partial training in Internal Medicine at the Unidad Médica de Alta Especialidad #71 of the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. Because of my interest in Cardiology, I decided to strive to secure a spot at the first Institute of Cardiology in the entire world, the Instituto Nacional Ignacio Chavez; where I developed a love for the clinical side of disease and humanistic medical care. During my training as a Clinical Cardiologist I chose an Advanced Specialty in a branch of cardiology that offers to be highly effective and committed to the evolution of medicine. That is why I chose a Nationally recognized Center of worldwide renown, to help me address the challenges of diseases treated by Interventional Cardiology, with highly complex cases and the Mexican population; at this Hospital de Cardiología No. 34 of the Centro Médico del Noreste of the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social I completed my training in 2019. The main areas include: acquired and even congenital heart diseases, disturbances of heartbeat (arrhythmias, slow heart rate or fast heart rate), heart failure (also called heart failure), systemic arterial hypertension or even pulmonary hypertension, valvular diseases (stenotic or insufficient), cardiomyopathies (diseases of the heart muscle itself), pericardial diseases (diseases of the heart's covering), atherosclerosis (arteries obstructed by fat or narrowing of the arteries), coronary ectasia (dilation of the heart's arteries), non-obstructive coronary microvascular disease (also called coronary slow flow), high cholesterol or high triglycerides, among many others. My practice and my team I am part of a group created by cardiologists certified in various specialties and branches of cardiology (Clinical cardiology, hemodynamics, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, cardiothoracic surgery), in heart diseases.
