I am Dr. Maria Eugenia Sanchez Uriarte, founder and medical director of DERMACUANTICA (R), where my passion for transforming lives through dermatology meets a revolutionary approach that integrates science, art, and consciousness. My academic career began with the highest distinction: I graduated as a Medical Surgeon from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, earning the "Medalla al Merito Universitario" for achieving first place in my class. This excellence opened the doors to the prestigious Centro Dermatologico Dr. Ladislao de la Pascua, where I specialized surrounded by the most complex and challenging cases in our country. My love for surgical precision led me to complete the Advanced Specialty in Dermatological Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, becoming one of the few specialists certified by the Consejo Mexicano de Dermatologia with this comprehensive training. For two years, I had the honor of working at the clinic for adverse effects of chemotherapy and targeted therapy at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia, an experience that strengthened my expertise in dermato-oncological treatments and allowed me to accompany patients in their most vulnerable moments. As an active member of the Sociedad Mexicana de Cirugia Dermatologica y Oncologica, I stay at the forefront of the most innovative advances in our specialty. But beyond my credentials, what really defines me is my philosophy of care: I deeply believe that each patient has a unique story that their skin is telling.
