About the Doctor
Dr. Chilaca is a senior specialist and coordinator of the Pediatric Radiation Oncology clinic at the Radiotherapy Service of the Hospital de Oncología of Centro Médico Siglo XXI, and manages Advanced Technologies in Adults for transplants and for central nervous system tumors (Neuro Oncology and Head and Neck), and also participates actively in National and International Oncology societies. In addition, she has been part of the UNAM teaching staff in the specialty course in Radiation Oncology and the Subspecialty in Pediatric Medical Oncology, in addition to being a visiting professor with the Centro de Desarrollo Estratégico e Información en Salud y Seguridad Social, Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social, and Miami, Florida. Dr. Chilaca is author and co-author of several publications in indexed journals, with citations of importance in the medical literature. Dr. Fátima's areas of expertise include: Neuro Oncology (brain and spinal cord tumors), Head and Neck Oncology, Radiosurgery in Adult and Pediatric patients, in addition to transplant preparation, as well as new schemes based on prognostic and predictive markers.
