About the Doctor

Dr. Gutierrez completed his medical training in Italy, where he became a standout in the field of research, education and management of rheumatic patients. He has a recognized international career for being a reference in imaging techniques applied to the early diagnosis of rheumatic diseases, in addition to being a promoter of centers of excellence in Rheumatology for the comprehensive management of the patient. His research and academic activities led him to become the reference rheumatologist for the Honorable Lower Chamber of the Marche Region of the Italian State. Dr. Gutierrez was awarded seven international prizes in recognition of his activities in the field of Clinical and Applied Rheumatology. His leadership and innovation led him to direct study groups of prestigious European and Pan-American entities dedicated to Rheumatology, currently being the President of the Ultrasound and Capillaroscopy group of the Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology. He was an invited speaker at more than 200 international events and has 180 scientific publications. His main activity currently is implementing innovative management systems in Rheumatology and new techniques for early diagnosis and improving the quality of life of the rheumatic patient. He is currently Head of the Division of Musculoskeletal and Rheumatic Diseases at the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación "Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra" in Mexico City. His convictions are "the patient at the center of care", "dedicated and personalized care", "management with quality standards and adherence to international guidelines", "the patient as a source of education and information about their disease", "integrated and multidisciplinary management"
