About the Doctor
I am Dr. Miguel Ángel Fuentes Rivera, trained as an orthopedist with a subspecialty in High Specialty Spine Surgery. I am currently dedicated to the care of diseases and surgeries of the spine in all its segments (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral) using open technique, percutaneous surgery, endoscopic surgery, thermonucleoplasty, facet rhizolysis, lumbar and cervical disc prosthesis. Always evaluating the patient's clinical condition, adjacent diseases, and imaging studies to offer the optimal treatment for each case. We hold medical consultations in various parts of Mexico City, the Valle de México (STAR MEDICA LUNA PARC), Toluca, Metepec, Atlacomulco, Morelia, Uruapan... etc. and surgery in many hospitals throughout the country. I graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. I am currently a founding member of the Colegio de Ortopedia Del Valle de México and an active member of the Asociación Mexicana de Cirujanos de Columna (AMCICO). I trained in spine surgery in Madrid, Colombia, and I have done teaching work with presentations at international spine surgery congresses: Singapore, Buenos Aires, Helsinki, Milan, Madrid, USA... etc. It will be a pleasure to help you and offer you the best options to solve your spine problem.
