About the Doctor

I am a neurologist who graduated from the Instituto Nacional de Neurologia y Neurocirugia, with specific training in the study of Parkinson's disease and disorders involving involuntary movements, such as tremor, tics, and incoordination. I also trained at internationally renowned referral centers: the New York Presbyterian Hospital and the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. I see patients at all stages of Parkinson's disease and parkinsonism, and I treat other movement problems such as essential tremor, focal and generalized dystonia, and balance disorders. I work with medical treatments tailored to each person and with advanced options when necessary, for example the apomorphine infusion pump, which delivers medication continuously to improve symptoms, or deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery, which can reduce tremor and improve movement control in selected patients. My practice combines clinical experience with close, attentive care: I listen to your concerns, explain the options in clear language, and avoid unnecessary jargon.
