About the Doctor

About me I am Rene Salazar, a pediatric endocrinologist passionate about caring for the health and well-being of the little ones (and not-so-little ones) at home. Let me tell you a bit about my academic background: I studied medicine at the Facultad de Medicina of UNAM, where I currently teach. I later specialized in Pediatrics at Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan. And finally, I completed my subspecialty in Pediatric Endocrinology at Centro Medico Nacional La Raza, endorsed by UNAM. I hold current Certifications in: - Pediatrics from the Consejo Mexicano de Certificacion en Pediatria, and - Pediatric Endocrinology from the Consejo Mexicano de Endocrinologia. Now let me share some other fun facts about me: I am a dad, and that has given me a much more empathetic perspective toward my patients' parents.
