I am Dr. Ricardo Vázquez Díaz de León, your humble servant.Medicine is a developing science, with many scientific advances and changes over time. The results of treating a disease depend on the knowledge of each disease; on the availability of strategies and resources for the best management of that disease; and above all, on the specific health characteristics of each patient.Integrating that knowledge for each person who becomes my patient is my passion. The most satisfying way to do it is to see each person as a living being who needs my help, my care, my commitment, my ability to solve their problems, and to treat them in the most human and warm way possible. The most beautiful thing about medicine is the fusion of science and humanism.Surgery is not just a job: it is science and art, fused together. It is knowing the human anatomy in detail, in health and in disease. It is using my whole being, my commitment, my knowledge, my experience, my specialized training, courage, and decisions based on scientific evidence; to help a human being who is suffering because of a disease, using a surgical procedure designed for that health problem. It is a coordinated, artistic performance of science, precision, love, and the intention to relieve a disease that affects a human being and their loved ones.
