About the Doctor

Dr. Salomon Urquizo has had outstanding medical training: In 2007 he obtained his degree as a Physician and Surgeon from the Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango, graduating first in his class and earning the Benito Juarez Medal. In 2012 he obtained his degree in Internal Medicine at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nutricion Salvador Zubiran, which is recognized nationally and internationally as one of the best institutes and as a referral center for the care of patients with rare and difficult-to-manage diseases, and is also a recognized center for research and training of medical specialists. In 2014 he obtained his degree in Critical Care Medicine at the same institute, also serving as Chief Resident. In 2013 he completed a stay at Cooper University Hospital, NJ, USA, where he had the opportunity to work alongside international experts in intensive care patient management. From 2014-2016 he practiced Internal Medicine and Critical Care at public and private hospitals in Monterrey. Dr. Salomon has continued his training by participating in national and international conferences and is certified by the Consejo Mexicano de Medicina Interna and the Consejo Mexicano de Medicina Critica. He currently sees patients at Hospital San Jose Celaya (Office 405), also caring for patients admitted at any hospital in the region. During the consultation, a complete medical history is taken and a thorough examination is performed to determine the origin of the problem and choose the best available treatment, all in a respectful, kind manner, explaining the diagnosis and management provided.
