I completed my specialty as a General Gastrointestinal Surgeon at the Unidad Medica de Alta Especialidad Centro Medico Nacional de Occidente IMSS, endorsed by the Universidad de Guadalajara, Jalisco. Subspecialist in Surgical Oncology at the Unidad Medica de Alta Especialidad Centro Medico Nacional Siglo XXI IMSS, endorsed by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico City. With 13 years of academic training altogether, of which 7 years of my training as a specialist in the oncology field were completed within 2 tertiary-level, high-specialty national reference centers with high-quality diagnostic care and complex surgical procedures.
