About the Doctor

I began my studies at the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico (UAEM) where I graduated as a Physician and Surgeon. I was awarded for having the best average during my undergraduate internship. I specialized in Internal Medicine at Hospital Medica Sur, recognized by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), from 2005 to 2009, and subsequently completed a subspecialty in Nephrology at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia Ignacio Chavez between 2009 and 2012. During 2013-2014 I completed a Master's in Organ Donation and specialized studies in Kidney Transplantation at Hospital Clinic, part of the Universidad de Barcelona, Spain. In 2015 I started the Kidney Transplant program at Centro Medico Nacional 20 de Noviembre of ISSSTE, supervising residents training in Nephrology and building the advanced specialty program in Kidney Transplantation on behalf of UNAM. I am certified by the Medical Boards of Internal Medicine and Nephrology. I was a reviewer for the Certification Exam of the Consejo Mexicano de Nefrologia in 2018 and 2019. I am a member of the Sociedad Espanola de Trasplantes, the Sociedad Mexicana de Trasplantes, the American Society of Nephrology as well as the Instituto Mexicano de Investigaciones Nefrologicas. My goal is focused on helping and treating patients with Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetic Nephropathy, Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Systemic Arterial Hypertension, Renal Lithiasis and Kidney Transplantation.
