About the Doctor
Dr. Sergio Moreno Jimenez Neurosurgeon Dr. Sergio Moreno Jimenez graduated from the Universidad Anahuac School of Medicine in 1996. He then completed his medical residency in general surgery at Centro Medico ABC from 1997 to 1999 and Neurosurgery at the Instituto Nacional de Neurologia y Neurocirugia from 2000 to 2005. He completed the subspecialty of Radioneurosurgery from 2005 to 2006. He holds a Master's and Doctorate in Medical Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and a Master's in Economics and Business from Universidad Anahuac. He has been a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores since 2007 (Level I) and a member of the Sistema de Investigadores de Institutos de Salud (Level D). He has been a member of the Academia Nacional de Medicina since 2010 and a member of the Academia Mexicana de Cirugia since 2020. He received the "Manuel Velasco Suarez" National Award for his career in Neurosurgery and for his contributions to Mexican Neurosurgery from the President of the Republic, in addition to other national awards. He has been Head of the Radioneurosurgery Unit of the Instituto Nacional de Neurologia y Neurocirugia since 2007 and Head of the Radiosurgery Clinic of the Neurological Center of Centro Medico ABC since its creation in 2012. He was president of the Radioneurosurgery and Stereotactic Fractionated Radiotherapy Section of the Sociedad Mexicana de Cirugia Neurologica in the 2009-2010 term. He is founder and President of the Asociacion Mexicana de Radiocirugia since 2018, and is currently Vice President of the Sociedad Iberolatinoamericana de Radiocirugia. He has more than 50 indexed national and international publications and several book chapters on neurosurgery and radiosurgery topics. He is a full professor of the Advanced Specialty Course in Oncological Neurosurgery at INNN and Adjunct Professor of the Neurosurgery Specialty at INNN.
