He completed the Specialization and Residency Course in General Surgery at the Hospital Central Militar, graduated in 2001. He was Chief Surgical Resident at the Hospital Central Militar in 2001-2002. He completed the Advanced Specialty Course in Colon and Rectal Surgery and Anorectal Physiology at the University of California in San Francisco, California, 2002-2005 He completed the Advanced Specialty Course in Robotic Colon Surgery in Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia, 2016. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Colon and rectal surgery Dr. Guerrero has performed more than 1000 surgeries for colon conditions (colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and complicated diverticular disease) using minimally invasive techniques (HALS Hand Assisted Laparoscopic Surgery), SILS (Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery), and conventional laparoscopy, all of them cutting-edge technology for the management of colon disease Hemorrhoid Surgery He has extensive experience in anorectal surgery with techniques for painless hemorrhoidectomy surgery (PPH Procedure for Prolapsed Hemorrhoids, LHP Laser Hemorrhoidectomy Procedure, Hemorrhoidectomy with Ligasure, THD Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization) Surgery for the treatment of anorectal fistula and abscess Management of these conditions is complex and requires a thorough preoperative evaluation to offer the best results.
