Hepatic Amebiasis

Hepatic amebiasis is a complication of amoebic infection in which the parasite reaches the liver and can form an abscess. It is related to the intake of contaminated water or food and usually requires a targeted workup to confirm it.

Common symptoms: fever, pain in the upper right part of the abdomen, general malaise, sweating, and, occasionally, a history of a previous episode of diarrhea.
