Anorchia

Anorchia is a rare condition in which a male is born without one or both testicles, even though the development of the external genitalia has usually been completed; it is due to the testicles failing to form or disappearing during development.

How is it usually detected? It is often identified during childhood checkups when one or both testicles are not palpable in the scrotum, which prompts additional studies.
