Double aortic arch is a cardiovascular malformation present from birth in which the aorta artery forms a ring that surrounds the trachea and the esophagus, instead of following a single course.

Common symptoms: In babies and children it may cause noisy breathing, cough, choking when eating, or repeated respiratory infections, although some cases are mild.
