Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a disease in which the immune system affects the protective covering of the nerve fibers, which disrupts communication between the brain and the rest of the body.

Common symptoms: Marked tiredness, tingling, weakness in the limbs, balance problems, or vision changes that may occur in episodes.

When to seek care? An evaluation is advisable when neurological symptoms appear that come and go or that limit daily activities.

A multidisciplinary approach, coordinated with the treating professional, helps plan the most appropriate follow-up for each person.
