Scrofula

Scrofula is a form of involvement of the lymph nodes of the neck caused by an infection, classically related to tuberculosis.

Common symptoms:

• Enlargement of lymph nodes in the neck, sometimes painless
• Possible redness or drainage of material through the skin
• General malaise or low-grade fever in some cases
